Duplicate cleanup
Exact content hashes find byte-for-byte copies. You choose the keeper; the others move to quarantine.
A local Windows utility for Proton Drive
GenieForProton finds duplicate waste, untangles vague filenames, and lays out every move for review. It works on the folder already synced to your PC. Your files never leave it.
No account · no telemetry · no required AI · offline license
Actual product rule A scan writes a manifest. It does not move a file.
What works now
It does the tedious comparison work, then stops. The final judgment stays with the person who knows the files.
Exact content hashes find byte-for-byte copies. You choose the keeper; the others move to quarantine.
Deterministic rules handle type and date sorting. A local model can optionally suggest names for vague files.
Perceptual hashes catch resized or re-saved images without pretending every similar photo is disposable.

Pro roadmap · Deep Search
Proton’s own support describes Drive search by full or partial file name. GenieForProton’s planned local index goes further: it reads the synced copies already decrypted on your PC and finds words inside them.

Privacy Sweep
Browser caches, recent-item lists, thumbnails, crash dumps, and temp files are analyzed on the machine. Every category is itemized before cleaning. There is no registry cleaner, updater, account, or telemetry layer hiding behind it.
There is nothing to send and nowhere to send it.
Why the line is firm: The FTC ordered Avast, the company behind a competing PC cleaner, to pay $16.5 million over charges involving the sale of browsing data.
The whole workflow
The organizer reads local files and writes a review manifest. The source folder is unchanged.
Change keepers, clear doubtful rows, and see exactly where each approved file will go.
Only approved rows move. Every batch is journaled, quarantine is recoverable, and the last batch can be undone.
Free vs Pro
The safe manual workflow is not a trial. Pro pays for fuzzy detection and deeper cleanup, with an offline key and no recurring bill.
The public Windows release is being prepared. No live checkout or fake waitlist has been wired into this preview.
The test
GenieForProton does. The optional rename helper talks only to a model on localhost. Licensing is verified offline. The site uses no analytics, cookies, trackers, or third-party requests.
